How have Native Americans and their varied cultures and traditions been portrayed in movies, television, comic books, or works of children’s literature? (Choose one.) What are the problems with such mainstream depictions of our country’s native peoples? What sorts of things does mainstream American culture --or, historically, has mainstream American culture -- gotten wrong about the cultures and identities of its native peoples?
