Research some prominent myths or folklore in the Pantheon anthology of American Indian Myths & Legends. What do those myths tell us about the people and cultures who spun them? What significant cultural values get reflected in these stories? To what extent are these stories the product of an oral tradition of storytelling? And how might these stories and/or the oral tradition have influenced the short stories in Simon Ortiz’s Men on the Moon?
